Blockchains are NOT needed- They have their applications yes... But they are not necessary for most services.


What IS necessary is a trustless source of data for self executing contracts- that does not require a blockchain- But it does require good data- Which decentralized oracles can provide. Sure data can be written to a blockchain after execution- but again that's not even necessary that's just data storage which AWS is pretty good at.


Like- Blockchains are cool and all (i guess) but thats not links market- at all- if anything you can argue its creating a new market... like the shift to SaaS thats all enterprise grade company are now utilizing because its simply easier to pay for a renewing license then buy and update brand new software every few months /years. The compliment to that style system is what links creating with their trust-less oracle offerings - allowing those SaaS products to use links API feeds inside of their appilications - End result is no blockchain and companies running link back-end without them even noticing it....Basically its that chain-link is finding a new way to monitzie trustless data - Its middleware man.

That's not even 1% of the global population. you have more than a 99% chance of survival according to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They did a simulation test on this same virus 3 months before it happened and 65 million was their estimate. So let's say 100 million die. Still only around 1-2% of the global population.

The biggest threat is how gov's react. Chinas economy is shutting down because the gov wants it to shutdown so they can offer their solution to the problem and you are not going to like the solution.
