ngl fren, digging up hallmarks in old books isn't the most exciting shit ever. But i'm a full history sperg, so once i figure out the origin, it serve as an excuse to read on what happened during that year or in that place. So many crazy stuff took place each year since recorded history. Too bad our modern (((history))) only want to remember key masonic macro-events and totally memoryholed the heroes of our past, because the story of great men are the most fantastic things ever. Some are defying the imagination, you literally can't invent this shit.
I can guarantee you kids would never sleep in class if we told them history via individuals' histories and then fit in the macro events. This would help contextualize instead of repeating by hearth random dates like a robot with zero comprehension nor immersion of the period.
But i guess no time for that when 75% of history class from 1st grade to unvi must be dedicated to the Ultimate Crime of Eternal Darkness targeting the Chosen Ones.

I've a sweet spot for adventurers/corsaires/knights, they always have the most amazing stories. Our lives are so dull and boring (but that's not necessarly a bad thing, we aren't all cut of this kind of life, at least i don't think i am) compared what happened to those heroes that when i tell their tale, i always get called a liar until my listeners inevitably check out on wiki and let escape an
