got a new job offer which higher potential for growth and less toxic politics. But quitting my current job will absolutely destroy my manager and ruin his life because our department was down to just me as 1 person. He is a good guy and treated me good but absolutely whipped when it comes to dealing with upper management. We were short staffed for 1.5 years and they wouldnt approve hiring more people. Leaving now would absolutely devastate them because i'm the only one who can do my specific job at the moment. Not even my manager is capable of doing my tasks anymore.
