I don't know if it's just millennials or part of getting older, but it's almost like no one wants to make any effort to keep friendships anymore, as if friends are all disposable commodities, I have maybe 2-3 friends that will bother to stay in touch, but even then it's limited as everyone is too busy trying to escape their shitty job or whatever

usually i find it's me who has to reach out to anyone to establish communication, i even have a discord setup with friend groups to stay in touch, but even then everyone is too unreliable/"busy" to spend one hour playing a video game together even, as if everyone is a fucking CEO but really they are just a NEET or studying/working a shitty job

the only friendships i bother with now are actually wagie friends who you interact with often, i find one or two at each job, but as soon as you change jobs all contact drops to a minimum, again nobody wants to make the effort to keep in touch...i don't know why this is but it's pretty much the modern standard of our culture in the U.S.
