Many shorts have covered, driving up the price. Obviously retail didn't do that alone. But short interest is flat, how? New shorts at a higher basis.

Well, they're paying 80% interest. That gives them very little time to realize an upside on their shorts.
So we have a Mexican standoff on our hands. No deadlines, no Friday or two weeks, just an evolving standoff between longs and shorts who both have a lot of risk. If at any point there is a cascade of shorts closing, an infinity squeeze is possible. If there is a cascade of longs giving up, nothing stops this crashing down to a fair value around $60.
Personally I think longs will fold first. I sold almost all of it. But I also think we could have an infinity squeeze at any time in the next few months. Just my best prediction, would like to hear yours.
