>There is a war on the horizon
what is this fetish some anons have with "impending war" with China? have you watched saving private ryan too many times or something?

we don't fight physical wars anymore, not with superpowers at least. we kill towelheads because they're a backwards civilization and technologically inept, and they're also retarded so they can't be reasoned with because muh allah, so we bomb them back to the stone age. they can't really fight back, it's fine. they don't have nukes (thank you Trump for shutting down that Obama-era shit that would have given Iran the nuke btw). with superpowers though? no.

we fight proxy wars. we fight cyber wars. we fight trade wars. you remember last summer when Trump put tariffs on $300b of Chinese goods, and China artificially dropped the value of their currency and Trump labeled them a currency manipulator? that's war now. no guns, no violence, just tariffs and negotiations or maybe blowing the fuck out of some little piece of land you own but that isn't actually the US or China themselves. like Russia with Crimea, same thing, some shithole that doesn't really matter, what matters is Russia vs. US but we both have nukes so we can't directly confront each other because of MAD. companies getting hacked by Chinese cyberterrorists? remember that? that's war now.

so at least in the traditional sense no, war is not "on the horizon". you know what will really likely end up happening? a lot of companies are going to be moving their shit out of China. first the trade war, now this pandemic has made them toxic, has made them fucking radioactive, to business. no one will want to be stuck in China for the next pandemic that comes out of the wet markets, trust me. it will be a slow quiet bleed out. it's like China shot themselves in the foot and now they'll bleed out from that, the wound will become gangrene in time. that's the "war". China is fucked, and not a single bullet will be fired from either side.

>Honestly I dont get how people still believe these jag offs man.

it's rough when the privately own the main sources of information that the masses use a.k.a. the mainstream media. it's why "fake news" has taken off with popularity thankfully: if the only places you can get information about the world are corrupt and trying to push a certain narrative or propaganda, how would you ever know about it? look at a place like north korea for example, the people there are brainwashed into believing that they live in a communist paradise and the rest of the world is this corrupt, evil, terrible place where everyone is fighting and starving and diseased all the time. i guess right now to a certain extent they're right lol, but they control all flows of information so all they ever hear is how lucky they should feel to be in best korea instead of the supposed hellscape they tell them the rest of the world is.

lucky for us we have the internet so people can still get the Truth if they look hard enough and have critical thinking skills, but what percentage of the population do you think does that? all we've got is that since the "fake news" meme and all of the crazy shit the dems have been doing these past 4 years, the answer seems to be "a lot more than normal" which is a positive at least.
