Hello /biz/. I usually don't frequent this board but I have an issue with my Robinhood account that I thought hopefully some of you have dealt with before.

So iv'e been day trading for about a year now, and iv'e constantly been struggling with the pattern day trading law. To get around it, I opened up additional (3 to be specific) robinhood accounts under my parents and brothers names in order to get additional trades. Each account had around $1000 in it. Yesterday I purchased the same stock in 2 accounts and it triggered an alert, prompting robinhood to restrict all 4 accounts associated with my phone. Now they want confirmation that I am the account owner and an explanation for why I have 4 separate accounts associated with my iphone.

Should I just explain that Iv'e been using the accounts for additional trades? If anyone has dealt with something like this before i'd appreciate the insight.

I don't actually trade and probably wont anytime soon. But what's the catch with Robinhood? Commission free trades sounds pretty good, but what's the downside?

Anyone use RobinHood? I'm just curious if the transfer from the bank (BoA) to the app is technically a transfer of funds, or if it's just a debit to checking. I just want to play around with a few dollars, but if it's a wire transfer, the bank will charge $35

Is there a catch with robinhood? What do you guys think of it?

Is it possible to somehow use Robinhood outside of the US?
Would having an american app store based phone along with a VPN do the trick?
Or does the app require other information that would make it impossible to use outside of the US?

thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Can someone explain to me the pros and cons of using robinhood?

I know its free but do you have restrictions that you don't have using a real broker? Will my actions take longer to process or will i have to wait hours for my trade to actually go through?

Alright everyone. Finally setup my Robinhood account and put a few hundred into the thing. I'm a young guy looking to throw some money into something secure and that won't fluctuate too much that gives out a dividend so that I can have something for the next few years that I'm invested in. I'm caught up with all the meme stock and have been reading all the recent Robinhood general threads for the past few days and I'm going to have fun with those as well but I mainly want something secure that will provide me some extra cash on the side.
