Entry level engineers are fucked in more ways that one. The obvious one as the OP mentioned are the terrible salaries. But the worst part is the competition a new grad will face to even get that job. A ton of major projects outsource the entry level engineering work to India already and it's going to get worse. Western unis still pump out engineering grads while outsourcing increases, so now it's simple supply and demand cucking your salary for the foreseeable future.

Engineering will always exist domestically in the west as it's a regulated profession, but if you're graduating right now and job hunting good fucking luck. If you manage to get an engineering job with a reputable company, here's some advice: don't even think about job hopping for more pay until you've got your PE license. You need to take your beatings as a good little entry level cuck. Once you've got your PE, you do have options that are difficult if not impossible to outsource to India. Position yourself for management type roles as a long term goal if you want any semblance of stability.
