what if i told you there was an entire secret system of finance underlying the one we read about in the news? one that dwarfed the public one by orders of magnitude?

what are the implications of an open, verifiable distributed ledger system recording all transactions and balances if such a system of shadow finance were to exist?

i think this is how $2000/XRP comes to be FUD: when the black market economy/shadow economy is taken into account. because, remember, even without getting into the shady Bearer Bonds/Golden Lily/Spiritual Wonder Boy/Saint Germain Fund crazy woo woo shit, it's widely acknowledged that the black market economy is anywhere from 50% to 300% the size of the aboveground economy. think of all the trillions held in offshore accounts that are by nature completely secret- the numbered swiss bank accounts that nobody even knows the name of the account owner, the UBS vaults in undisclosed locations in the mountains containing tons of gold (this is real, look it up)...if all that is brought onto the ledger, (and taxed) then what might the implications for the world financial system be?

"military spending" takes a pretty big chunk of tax dollars. what if- and i know this is crazy talk, literally enough to disqualify me from ever holding office and maybe enough to get me sent to the mental hospital, because it's borderline heretical-

what if we cut the military budget by even a quarter? what if we reduced our military presence and shut down our bases in even 50 of the 150 countries we currently have troops in? we'd be able to fund free healthcare, free college, free housing, free fucking everything for everybody! the United States empire is a leech on the human race.

i'm no fan of Russia or China either but I don't think a WW3 scenario would be good for anyone. I propose a return to the Monroe doctrine, with spheres of influence. Russia gets Eastern Europe, China gets Asia, and the US gets South America, and Africa is finally allowed to develop and become prosperous using Khadafy's gold-backed dinar idea. Burn the CIA and scatter the ashes to the four directions and stop interfering in the politics of the developing world, focus on green energy, and export teachers and doctors instead of bombs and guns. Treat corporations as taxable entities instead of people, break up monopolies, stop privatizing utilities. Strengthen unions, fund development, shift to a co-operative model, hang all lobbyists. Decriminalize drugs, fund mental healthcare. Institute a new New Deal and CCC for young people to work on infrastructure projects.

It doesn't have to be this way! Our species is operating under a form of hypnosis, Sunk Cost Fallacy on a massive, massive scale. This is what the blockchain, XRP, and especially Flare and Flare Finance can free us from.
