>you know nothing about crypto and only think gold is valuable because you were told by (((everyone else))) that it's valuable.

Russia and China hoarding 10s of thousands of tons of Gold while dumping dollars and their farmed cryptos to buy even more gold, silver, and physical commodities makes it obvious that the smart play is PMs.

I don't know the petroleum-equivalent caloric/work energy inputs needed on average to create a 1 ounce silver round for example, but it's safe to say that silver is historically cheap because of the usage of millions of years worth of fossilized energy over the course of a few centuries of unchecked unsustainable growth. If and when the reality of energy scarcity strikes before the world has discovered or fully implemented/harnessed a new source of reliable and efficient on-demand energy, then the caloric/work-energy inputs locked away in our stacks will be much more precious, especially silver which is the elemental backbone of modern and future technologies and "renewable" energy systems and will be strategically critical for the foreseeable future on top of its monetary aspects, which will only synergize multiplicatively with its functional aspects.

TLDR: Cryptovaporcoins are an imaginary store of value and energy-equivalent input because they're physically nonexistent and materially useless.

Thanks anons, I'll check it out.

I think in part, outside a rush of investor demand which we saw all last year and which will surely continue as things get shittier, St.Angelo is talking about how cheap fossil fuel energy made it very cheap to produce PMs through the 20th and early 21st century, but if that cheap energy dries up and the energy and material inputs required to get new refined ounces of silver or gold balloon then that alone will drive the value way higher. Combined with investment/monetary demand as other asset classes shit themselves (muh commercial real estate) we've got the makings for a sustained moon mission in physical bullion, which is the OG proof of work/energy input vehicle of the past 5,000+ years.

This will complicate PM mining stock valuations though, something Big Bob referenced, because if energy, material, and manpower costs spike along with PM prices the profit margins won't be there to support the 100-baggers we'd like to see, not indefinitely anyway.

>that was a stupid move on that guys part, would have been better to keep it.

That was 2012, I'm sure he immediately took the 110k and bought ten thousand bitcoins like all the shitcoin pumping tourists here totally did too back in 2012. ;^)

Dude's old 27+ kilo bar was sexy, I'd have a hard time letting it go.

>IDOLATORS! REPENT! BUY BITCOIN! GOLD IS GOING TO ITS GRAVE!

I guess that's why Russia and China have been stockpiling gold bullion, while at the same time China and the Norks have been operating massive Bitcoin farms and selling every one they mine to retarded westerners at the ATH so they can buy more Gold?

Retarded normies and shoeshine boys are all talking about BTC now and trying to figure out how to take out 2nd mortgages to buy-in at the top. There aren't enough more dumbass normies with spare capital or assets out there to keep the pump going.

Bubble pop imminent, just wait for the FBI or Changs to dump some BTC from an old wallet again and initiate another panic selloff. If you really want more shitcoin just wait for it to go back under 10k, buying right now is ridiculous you'll be way better off just throwing money blind at Uranium miners right now.

>What do you anons think of getting 14k rings at or close to melt value? Worth it?

Make sure they are actually genuine, I bolt-cuttered one ring stamped 14k and also .585 which was strange and it was just thickly plated silver.

For the worst societal collapse SHTF situation, paying someone off with gold wedding/engagement rings would arouse less suspicion (regarding you having more PMs hidden somewhere) than paying in slabbed gold coins or minty uncirculated rounds freshly dispensed from the tube crammed up one's arse. Based half dollar BTW.

But... muh Proof of Work?
