Why can't /pol/tards make an argument without getting absolutely flabbergasted? Do they realize that a good argument speaks for itself?
To respond to his point, money can serve the purpose of allowing users to remain safe under an oppressive government. Sure, criminals use it right now to sell drugs, but what happens when having the wrong opinion or associating with the wrong person becomes illegal? Monero will come in handy then. What if taxes on purchases are raised to intolerable levels? Say a 200% tax on your digital purchase? Then the vendor can accept Monero and no one will know the purchase was made.
If technological society collapses or becomes exponentially more invasive, then it might not be possible to use cryptocurrencies.
