You should at least give her back whatever she gave you, but really you should give her a statement of the gain/loss she experienced and evidence of how it was calculated. I used to have a high paying job and at one point I invited my 3 favorite bros from high school to come on a trip to europe with me, and I would pay for all flights and hotels. One wife would simply not allow it. Another wife pretended to be cool but "came down with a medical issue" right when I was buying plane tickets so he couldn't come either. The third actually came and we had fun. Then he got divorced like a year later. Roasties are the WORST investment.

I owned a business, had employees, made pretty good cash. It's an incredible responsibility. I had partners to earn for, debts to pay, and payroll to make. Do you know what if feels like to have $15k in payroll to distribute on Friday with only $10k in your account on Tuesday? I mean, if your whole life is going to be about working to earn money anyway, then owning a business is better than ordinary wagecucking, but only because of money and vanity, not because it makes your life better. I stand by my earlier sentiment: avoid working for money, avoid taking responsibility (particularly for others), spend your time doing things that make you happy.
