Notice how everyone and their grandma is saying "things will never go back to normal" and has been for some time, yet the total death rate at the moment is actually a little less than average but completely normal, and there is a scapegoat everyone can agree on that caused this one time massive hit to GDP "the virus". I've been around a while and it's always the same story with a new technology. Typewriters, calculators, personal computers, you name it. When it first comes out and people hear about it, it's cost prohibitive for the average person. Only the hardcore early adopters and very rich can afford it. Now, if you need a bitcoin that badly right now and can afford it then go ahead and be my guest, but as time goes on, the cost of production lowers due to economies of scale. Pretty soon that bitcoin you bought for $25,000 that takes up your whole living room will be able to fit in the size of your hand, and middle class people will be able to afford it. And they will buy it because they HAVE to, not because they just like the technology.
