Because people want more than what they are used to. If you grew up poor, anything more than that is an achievement. Many of those richies are crashed psychologically for having no success compared to their successful parents, even if they are doing rather well in life. As a poorfag I had 1000x more issues than those rich bastards, but I have never had that pressure to do better because of comparing myself to my parents. Because I know even if I end up being an alcoholic homeless, I still wouldn't be a big fuck-up considering the family standards.
