The biggest reason to buy and own a home for decades is that it is the most normie friendly and easiest way of accumulating wealth in an asset. Most people dont have any savings, contribute the bare minimum to their 401k (if any at all) and never touch the stock market.

Owning a home will almost always be preferable to renting for various reasons, but if you can amass a nice chunk of wealth via investments and smart plays, theres nothing wrong with renting. Now, if you are in your 30s, are renting, and have virtually 0 savings or investments, then thats pretty bad.

Don't feed these demoralization posts. There are other ways to accumulate wealth. Unless your home is paid off, you are also stuck with a monthly house payment.

Nasdaq is rebalancing their top 100, no stocks added or removed.
The top 7 including AAPL, NVDA, AMZN, TSLA etc make up 55%, which means you may as well just own these instead of the index itself.
My question is whether it's good to short or to long prior to the rebalancing.
I believe it'd be a good time to short it considering most of these companies are not doing ideally, such that NVDA mooning more won't have that much of an effect on the index.
Is there any evidence for either strategy?

to be fair I am ok with this. Tips should only be available for people making $2.50 an hour, with the expectation that tips will make up the difference to get them at or above the federal minimum of $7.25. If these people are making $8 - $13 an hour and are asking for tips, they can fuck right off.

Darts isn't a game of chance it's a game of skill.
The other way the analogy fails: do all the darts cost the same to throw them? Obviously they would.
It's a midwit analogy that makes average people feel smarter when they read it.
