what do you mean?

I'm super wary of buying anywhere that isn't LCD with a sigma machine. Idk how so many people are like iT's DiFfiCuLt To CoUnTeRfEiT but counterfeits *are* out there and if you get sent one (or sold at an LCD who doesn't test in front of you) it's not like you can sell it anywhere, you're just fucked when you decide you need it. Hell when I was at my LCD a handful of the rounds he pulled out tested outside the range and he was like "oh it's close, that means it's silver" and I was like

I almost went somewhere with a lower premium and figured I'd take my stack to a nearby pawnshop with a tester until I realized that if they tested off and I brought them back to sell, the LCD would 100% act like they'd never seen me before and tell me to GTFO for trying to pass off 90% for 99.9%.

*is what I said in my head, irl I just meekly repeated "I'm new at this and buying these makes me nervous it would really help my peace of mind if we switched them for others that clearly test positive, thank you so so much for your patience."

how do I polish my sliver?

I just bought a bunch of generic silver rounds. The guy was very patient with me, I had him use a sigma on each piece. A few didn't pass but they were probably just dirty or something. He restrained himself from rolling his eyes at me when I said I wanted to switch them out.

speaking of dirty coins, I imagine when I go to sell them, since they're unmatched generic, having them polished up will be good so the tester machine reads easily. Some of the ones that passed & I took home are pretty dirty.
