Reminder that with interest rates at the zero lower bound that bonds are trash and therefore leveraged bonds are even more trash. The fed has no more room to drop interest rates, so any bond rally in a crash at this point depends on dollar short squeeze dynamics more than the traditional interest rate drop, at which point you might as well just buy UUP or something.

Honestly, at this point I think the best black swan insurance is just cash. There's still risk of getting dumped on in real terms if currency devaluation occurs in response to a given event, but you should have time to "buy the dip" before then when things look most hopeless.
