I don't like it and the market didn't like it and here is why:
VR has limited use cases. Video games on it aren't very good, people don't want to wear these things for extended periods of time, there are some neat visuals you can do with VR but they're not so much better than a nice screen that people are eager to adopt the tech. The only use case for VR that does see regular dedicated utilization is porn. Even there, VR porn is not so amazing that a large chunk of the population are going to be interested in a dedicated device for it. All this and THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY-NINE UNITED STATES DOLLARS for a version of a thing that already exists on the market for a fraction of the cost. Is Apple's new headset $3000 more better and more appealing than the others? They could cut that asking price in half and it would still be insanely high.
