>Why would laplace be better than any other filter?
it's not best per se, but its quite familiar to me, so habit i guess
>Have you tried a wavelet based approach?
I have not (assuming you dont mean fourier series sums of sine n cosine), doesnt sound like a bad idea though...

yeah i had that with trig

had to teach myself trig for real once DiffEq came up, and no more calculators on tests

also cosine is fucking everywhere, chords n tangents too

>>17940665
use Fourier to look at the s-domain (frequency) instead of t-domain (time)

>>17940717
ive seen some fantastic FFT codes for tradingview, works fantastically with currency
the problem is finding what time period, and what candles to use, but once you get it calibrated in, its really quite good

Ichi clouds give similar predictions too, idk enough about Ichiwhatever formula to know if just coincidence or not tho

The worst part is, i wasnt always a bear, heck even back in 2018 I was perma bull

but then my eyes were opened to a new world, and FFT changed my life

just placed an order for a cheap BYND strangle, might make money if BYND moves $20 in either direction after earnings

no, it wont be ok at all, not until you learn

agreed, Fourier was a madman for doing that analysis without computers

he must have been Gauss-tier supersmart to do that before 1900

learning Laplace transforms is like being reborn again, even more so than learning how to measure rates of change (diffeq's)

ME majors (gays or ladies?) who fail the weeder courses so they switch to fashion major?

or i imagine there has to be some kind of materials engineer doing QQ on the factory floor at sweatshops?

or maybe Laplace is a trendy sounding name, idk

is there another matlab using anon on here? will they be on here after 1pm today?

i could use some help exporting spreadsheet files into my fourier analysis programs for trading purposes

ill share results :)

>scalar
has magnitude (the temperature outside for example, one variable, no domains)
>vector
has magnitude and direction (the wind's mph and direction for example, 2 variables, one domain)
>phasor
has magnitude, direction, and phase (for example, light)
(just think its like a vector, but instead of a ray, its a sinewave, 3 variables, 2 domains )

>>English please, Data. Physics class was 7 years ago
math and or images are more information-dense than english ever can be, and its hard to show a 2 phase(4D) "object" with a 2D picture

math is the superior language, since it existed long before humans did
long before earth did

if God speaks any language, it is surely mathematics

chaos theory: small almost imperceptible changes to initial conditions cause dramatic differences in finishing conditions

a pendulum with a hinge is the easiest example

try tracking 3 bodies in orbit with one another (via gravity), with 18+ variables (position cordinates, velocity, acceleration, impulse and momentems ectera) and you will begin to understand the how insane the world is
