I need to get a drug scale I think. I have this interesting electrum button I found at an old gold/silver mine. I'd guess it's a cupel button. It's really heavy but my postal scale isn't very useful for knowing what it's worth. If it is a cupel button it's an interesting bit of mining and assay history, but the bottom is flat like it was poured out on a stone slab instead of cooled in the cupel. Odd bit of metal. Could just be some coin metal or jewelry melted down I guess.
