A company called Skywirez.
It was a little Internet service provider with like 3 regular employees and 2 sub contracted HR and payroll employees.
I was making 20 an hour there and this morning I got a call saying the company had been acquired by a holding company and 2 of us were let go on the spot. Tomorrow, if you can fucking believe this shit, we actually have a fucking service and install. Then we have to turn in our equipment (Spare billing server, some routers and Ubiquiti devices).
No Severance, no explanation about what happened, but the holding company (I forget it's name) is basically an asset chop shop.

We provided internet to a section of rural Ohio.

So....yeah. I need to get unemployment started and hope that the two recruiters I'm meeting with can get me job interviews. One looks promising, and the pay is better. Downside is I can't sit at home, shitpost on an economics board, and get paid for it.
