The PMI data is first of all highly manipulated and arbitrary. Secondly, look at pic related and tell me you can evaluate anything... I mean sure, it is below 50 but only slightly.
The fact of the matter is that tech is running at high gear in the US right now and will run even hotter as of this year. Anyone working with chips and semis can confirm this.
