I got fired last month due to "performance" despite being top performer in the dept. Honestly just pure office politics but it seems everything in tech is collapsing. Trust your gut fren, I knew I was on the chopping block when I was handed a toxic project during the summer and mgmt kept changing project scope and deadlines at the last minute every other week.
