If you trade and make a buy at $30. Then set your target at $35 and set a stop loss at $30 it means the most you can lose is $5 and the most you gain is $5. If you do this for every trade (and vice versa for shorts) then randomly make buys/sells at random times, over the course of a few thousand trades, your balance should not have changed right? It's just statistics.

So provided you do this strategy an only use 1% of your stack, you should never lose money.
But if you have a slight edge, you will make money.

All you need is an edge anons. As long as you are right more than you are wrong, you will make money.

The odds just need to be slighlty in your favour. e.g. 50.09% / 49.91% odds. Then provided you have proper portfolio management - that's all you need to make it.

I've been thinking about this more and more.

The stock market has never been so relevant in US history. Wars are now fought economically not violently. And considering the US is the largest economic powerhouse in the world by a significant margin + allies in Europe and modern capitalism has had just over 200 years to be in effect - so it makes sense that the past 200 years have taught us enough about economic policy and how people behave to make it work.

I mean compare shitcoin charts to legacy financial market charts. You will see they look drastically different. Shitcoins pump then dump in cycles. Same with bitcoin - these are 100% free markets without regulations and no central banking. Yet the way in which stocks and commodities behave looks... just weird. unnatural almost.
