They delayed releasing the roadmap because they are finalizing a deal with Epic Games for BAT to be used in their app store and in some of their games. They are adding an Arcade section to the Brave Wallet and they are going to have a whole new rewards system for it and in game tipping and microtransactions with BAT. The keyword cluster NFT's for the search engine which will pay out rewards in BAT is also confirmed now. They are also going to have a dapp panel in the wallet and all their wallet partners are going to integrate BAT in them. One example is DeFi staking so people will be able to stake their BAT right in the wallet. None of this would have been possible with vBAT which is part of the reason they are getting rid of it. Now the rewards users will be able to actually do stuff with their BAT when it gets paid out so they have an infinite amount of new doors opened for what they can do with BAT now.

I think it's hilarious that some people have been capitulating on this now, especially some of the OG's that have held this shit for years and just now sold right before search ads and all the other functionality that they are adding for BAT.

since everyone is bitching about vBAT. heres what getting rid of it will actually do:

1. get rid of jeet farms and scammers

2. every single BAT will now be accountable and deposited directly into an account at the end of each month for payouts. no more guessing if vBAT is backed or not.

3. make BAT ads more attractive for advertisers (minimal fraud)

4. get rid of all the pajeets bitching about their 10 cents vBAT

5. make it easier to integrate BAT with other products.

6. pay with BAT will now actually be easy to roll out

7. brave will be one of the only companies that will not get fucked by any new regulations

so quit bitching about muh vbat. its a good thing that they are getting rid of this shit. once every bat needs to be accounted for on-chain or on an exchange, there will be no more hiding the fact that there is almost zero supply on the market

trying to figure this out. BAT's market cap is roughly $300m, and brave is launching BAT ads on the search engine in a few months which will be about $100m in purchases per year.

the thing i am trying to figure out is what effect it will have on price. the amount of BAT being purchased obviously won't just be equivalent to market cap increase because of liquidity and such. also, some people that earn the rewards will sell them. is it possible to figure out what kind of effect there will be on price like an equation or something?
