yes pigs are a good investment, they are incredibly easy to keep as they require very little space in which to live, and will eat just about anything.
furthermore, numerous pigs can be stored in a small area unlike other livestock that requires a large area in which to live.

pig products are myriad. bacon is one of the most consumed meats in the west, and most parts of the pig can in some way be used, even if it is to feed dogs. their meat can also be preserved for a long time as well, meaning supply can be withheld and released onto markets in times of shortage.
certain breeds of pig are very well suited to sniff out truffles as well, meaning that if one has the aptitude, they may be able to provide a service, this being truffle location. truffles are highly desirable in high class restaurants, with most chefs preferring to use the real and organic thing rather than a substitute

beyond this, pigs offer a lesser known service, and this is for acorn clearing. a job originally held by the medieval swineherds, pigs would be released around stables to consume stray acorns so that horses do not eat them.
a horse is unable to digest acorns, and due to their prices, a pig is a brilliant solution for avoiding equine digestive issues that require veterinarian intervention at a high cost.

in short, yes anon pigs are a good investment, provided you have the land and aptitude to use them to their fullest potential
