>I've only seen the silverplated Christofle articles IRL
Yes, ever since they started to target the middle class, 95% of their sets are silverplated (and even stainless steel).
But they still do silver tableware, like you can see on their website :
https://www.christofle.com/eu_fr/couverts/categories/fourchettes.html?main_material=522&product_list_order=price_desc
But even tiny forks and spoons are 400€ a pop minimum, so this is rarely the kind of stuff who ends up on ebay, more like Drouot and Tiffany's auction houses.

I automatically discard anything named Christofle usually on ebay because i almost only see silverplated being auctioned, that's maybe why the auction ended up being this low, scrappers automatically dodge it. But the gold plating on the pic got me curious, since i've never seen it applied on anything but silver for tableware. Ended up being a good call, as the Minerve 1 hallmarks on the pics confirmed it was indeed .950.

>We may be doing well but there is always more for us to learn, let's keep sharpening our skills and hoarding those cheapies my fren.
Aye! Noticing only last week i got "scammed" 2 months ago (too late for a recourse) definitely was a warning sign and a wakeup call i still have much to learn and to never let my guard down.

Any cheapie recently acquired (or about to be) on your side fren?
