If 99.999% of the people have no use for it's "utility" it's hardly a utility. No one uses it for your supposed utility anyways. Everyone just uses it as some sort of get rich quick scheme and are in denial about it. That's why you and others keep making up supposed uses for it. Sorry, your meme currency is so bad at being a currency it's not used as such.

>Why would anyone of the whales let this game die
Because Bitcoin and Crypto is going nowhere anytime soon and they can make money off of retarded NEETs who believe if they just put $5 into this shitcoin they'll be millionares in just a couple short years of doing absolutely nothing.

>decentralized
There is a core group of devs that control this coin and control the narrative of their forums they mod and censor.
The exchanges are even worse. If you want to put money into Bitcoin, or cash out you have to go through them. Pretty easy to kill this coin by actually regulating those exchanges which all are shady as fuck.
>untraceable
Again the exchanges are super easy to trace. They all require personal info to cash out.

>Scarcity is the ONLY factor that affects value.
No it's not. Bitcoin is hardly scarce. You can just keep moving that decimal over.

What effects Bitcoin's value is hype and hype alone. Why do people buy Bitcoin? Because it goes up in value! Why does Bitcoin go up in value? Because people keep buying it!

It's a get rich scheme and nothing else. Everyone joining in is hoping that there will be some poor schmuck on the other end willing to pay them more for what they bought in for.

Smart man, OP. I also cashed out recently for similar reasons. The volatility of this currency is killing it, the greedy are just too blind to see it. They're the ones that will be left holding the bags waiting for it go up again in value. They may try to cash out, but when they go the exchanges will conveniently go down for "maintenance" and never come back up.

Except the fact that stocks are actually backed by something besides hype, which is the only backing bitcoin has. That's why stock values don't rise and tank like buttcoins does every month. It's all just one big Ponzi scheme. The only people who will ever make money is their early adopters because they already have thousands of buttcoins and the only way they can make money is by hyping it all up to get the idiots that don't understand investing to buy when it's super high so they can sell and the market tanks and they'll repeat it over and over again.

What's stopping you from buying a bunch of GPUs, mining for a few days at maximum overclock and then returning them?
It's basically free money

Post ITT if you've made gains overall in 2017, no matter how big or small, no matter the currency or stock or property value or whatever.

This is a celebration thread. How are you celebrating your gains?
