this guy seems different from your average /xsg/ denizen because he's fully schizoaffective, that is, he has delusions (he clearly didn't kill those hundreds of people, even if in his head he did- his inner world has merged entirely with his outer world and he can't tell the difference)

I'd say that, from a strictly DSM-V diagnostic POV, many of the topics discussed in these threads (grand overarching conspiracies, etc) place many of us (myself certainly, certainly included) on the spectrum of schizotypal thought, but I don't think there are necessarily delusions happening.

An interesting question is: are entities like the mainstream media (CNN/NBC for the center-left, Fox etc for the center-right, and so forth) deliberately fostering psychoses and neuroses in their viewers? If so- to what end?
