Just tell them no. If they start trying to shame you, cut contact for a year. It sucks to change your phone number entirely but I think you can block them and if they keep trying to contact you you can get one of those court orders so they don't contact you (forget what they're called, they're to keep stalkers away).

My parents tormented me psychologically after college before I got my first job, so I'm just waiting for them to retire and need money so I can laugh in their face and tell them to die in the streets.
