40 million was a drop in the bucket though. How many holders with god knows how many shares that are naked shorted are outstanding? There isn't enough money, the government would have to print more to pay for the outstanding shares even if all the big hedge funds got liquidated of all their assets.

My mind keeps looking at the math though. What's the total amount of retail-owned shares? If all of those shares got 100k per share, how much money would that be? 1 million? 100 million? Where would all that money come from?

With as much debt as citadel is taking on, what might be the return on shorting them? Can we short a hedge fund?

Have hedge funds taken out new short positions on GME? If someone could post some proof of that I might be compelled to sell.
