I have been dying for us to break away from Bitcoin but it seems that we track it at every turn except when we shot up from 300 and when we shot up to 800. Why is this? We seem never to benefit from its games but we always follow it down. I would think that we would be doing the inverse of btc.

Alright /biz/, I've been here for over a year and recently got into crypto in the past couple of months and I've made some pretty good gains through doing my own research, etc, looking into ICO's and just buying coins off the market.

BUT, I'm still struggling to understand this. I've bought alts and their value has gone up because of the value Ethereum, correct? As well as them seeing an increase in value too.
My question is, how can I know what kind of sell orders to set, say to double my initial investment, as an example?
Because I know that its value in fiat is not relevant when I'm trading, say DRGN/ETH when Ethereum's value is changing. For example, I bought DRGN at around .0009 ETH when it was at around .35ish cents or so, but now .0009 is worth around 60 cents, but right now DRGN is selling for 0.000639871, roughly .42 cents.
