Hey Biz,

I am working on redesigning my company's logo and website. I wanted to ask for advice regarding whether I should just get some freelancer to do it or if I should use a site like 99designs or something. I really would rather work with someone who is quality and not have to deal with some Filipino on Upwork or something but I have no idea if I am getting ripped off here or not. Pricing below for reference, see for yourself if it's bullshit. Keep in mind this is for a basic Wordpress site.

99 Designs / Logoworks (for both of them)

Full Design Packages - $2500 (40 design concepts, top level talent only supposedly)
Mid Range Package - $1500 (50 design concepts, mid and top level talent)

Upwork Rates

Random freelancer avg rates - $40hr-$100hr

Is it bullshit to pay that much for what is essentially formatted PNG images and a basic pre-formatted website design? Or is it worth it to not deal with the hassle and to get a decent creative to do the work? Anyone here been through this?
