i started buying btc in august realizing my money had just been sitting in my bank account for years. i figured i may as well take a risk. I was very happy by the end of the year. very happy. i bought many ATH's and still held on for dear life, learning to hold.

My total investment in crypto so far has been $6468. I am holding through this crash. I don't give a fuck about my initial investment. My only regret is that I have not made any sells for fiat so that I could reinvest at a later point.

At this point my gains in fiat would only be about $2k. Shall I take out $2k and keep my initial investment in there? If I do it this way, by the end of the year, if I'm still in crypto, can I write this off as a negative on my taxes?
