OKOK
but the whole point is that the chinas are dragging their feet because they know they can wait Trump out
they don't mind crawling around in negotiations for another decade with the current level of tariffs without having to give anything up. They just have to talk, make promises, but delay.
That's what their doing now. That's EXPLICITLY WHY we are increasing the tariffs: we have to.

The chinas won't agree to the things we want them to agree to and get a deal done UNLESS the tariffs increase (or are threatened to increase).
Because of that, if China doesn't agree this week, don't be to surprised to see the tariffs increase MORE over what is threatened on Friday over the next few months.

This is the meaning of economic war. We are forcing them to give us a fair deal, they don't want to. It's now a question of applying the right amount of force. 'negotiation', meaning just talking, is carried as far as it goes.

'concessions' in terms of what the chinas 'say' don't mean anything; they'll just renege, everyone knows it. They'll say 'yes yes ok' to something one day, but if they haven't SIGNED an international agreement to do that thing (with explicit punishments if broken), it doesn't count

I think this is a fake dump.
The market doesn't want to awaken the sleeping Jerome by barreling through 2800 and approaching 3000 too quickly

The MM know they need to show Jerome some red flags every once in a while

Ex-news, I see the slow melt-up continue. 2800 (gently) next week.
not a very exciting prediction, I know.
market will move less than expected on negative, neutral, or positive China news

it is OK. analyze your sell positions as a whole and try and learn from them, but don't get hung up on each and every one
