Just about everything is software-based these days. Back when I could actually go to restaurants, half the time the hostess would poke at a tablet to figure out where to seat me. I see that and think that they must have bought or be paying monthly for some restaurant management software that runs on iPad.

Or like, when I get my car serviced. I get text messages and a link to a webpage with recommendations and pictures and stuff.

How do y'all feel about Vanguard ETFs for passive NPC investors like myself

been swing trading stocks for the past couple months and im having a blast. it's addicting. but, markets close at 4pm and i want something to do after hours and on weekends when im bored. so i was thinking, oh i know, ill look into crypto trading. so i start doing research, and then i remember.

back in 2009/10 i heard about this cool new thing called bitcoin. heard you can just mine it with your computer. i had a decent gpu so i set up my home computer to mine bitcoins all day while i was at work using a site called bitcoin.cz. i had no clue what i was doing. i remember a few times id cash out and put my 'bitcoins' in a text file on my computer. did this for a while and got bored of it because it was doubling my electricity bills and i didnt see much of a future in it. hah.

well ive long lost that file at this point. no hope of ever recovering that, sadly. can only imagine how many thousands of dollars are in there. but i went checking through my emails and apparently that mining site is still up under a different name (slushpool) and my account is still active there. only had .02 btc in there, so i just set up a new wallet and im waiting for it to transfer. this is basically house money, and im going to see how much i can turn it into. i have no idea what im doing yet but i figure ill try to diversify it into some high profile coins and see what happens. hopefully eth recovers from that dip nicely.

anyway, thought you guys would enjoy my story.
