For every retard making 1000% on options, there are hundreds getting absolutely fucked at the same time. Don't fall for the trap.
If you don't want to learn everything, and don't want to be a gambler, just wait for the coronachan shit to end and throw your money in ETF's, probably with a bit of diversification into bonds and precious metals (maybe).

Also, I didn't get fucked by the crash personally, since I saw it coming.
Still doesn't mean Capitalism is coming to an end though. There will be a shake up, but I'd put my money on neofascism before I'd bet on global communism.

I'll give you a quick rundown
The price of an option is determined by both it's intrinsic value and its time value.
The intrinsic value of an option is the difference between the strike price and the current price (of an in-the-money option), its the amount of money you would get if you exercised it right now.
The other component is the time value, which is a measure of the probability that the option will become (more) profitable in the future. There are a lot of models to calculate this, but in general the time value is affected by volatility and time until expiration (as it becomes less likely that it will move a certain amount given some volatility within the smaller time window).

When you buy a far OTM put the most probable outcome is that it becomes worthless, and that fact is priced into the option itself, meaning its very cheap and has no intrinsic value.
When the market crashes and it goes ITM, you suddenly have that intrinsic value that wasn't part of the option before, in addition to the heightened volatility. This can easily increase the value of the option by 100's of %. So basically you can get a return of over 1000% if you got lucky enough. That's a lot.

Physics bro here, let me give you some advice. I Know a lot about batteries, the technical aspects of batteries as well as practical uses for them. Knowing this also means I know the limitations of batteries, and let me tell you now, tesla is not far off reaching the peak of pragmatic battery use and performance (all downhill from there).

Batteries are heavy, and they have to store all the energy that goes into them, and they need some form of charging, which grounds the car until the battery is charged. Those are all just simple downsides which naturally make cars obsolete to what im talking about, which is this:

If you want to be a real smartie, you will invest your time and money into a new form of fuel being studied and developed, called hydrogen. Hydrogen fuel cells are light (hydrogen being the lightest gas along with helium), which combine with oxygen to power and drive the electrics in a car. No need for a heavy ass battery and charging, the fuel is created "on the go", with the capability of storage and supply available. It is literally a magic car, powered by air. THIS is the next big thing. Invest in this. That is my advice.

You see, the problem is that the reality of the situation is much more complicated. It is true that the kids must first begin from where they are, that is, deep in the cave. However being that they are deep in the cave they must overcome this issue, that they are deep in the cave. If the Thai bois are to overcome this problem they will need to move from the area deep within the cave to an area a bit closer to the place they need to be, which is outside the cave.

How much money per year could you technically live on? I mean in your exact situation.

For me I think $15k would cover my rent, bills and basic food (similar to what i eat now)
