There was an open interest of over 4.73k contracts on the $15 call strike. Which translates to 473,000 shares of GME. If GME closes above $15, you can exercise your call either automatically or manually and get 100 shares per 1 contract. Typically, the people that sell these calls are large institutions, so by exercising these calls, there is a chance that you are removing shares from the people shorting the stock and slightly increasing the chance for a short squeeze.
