RL Chads remember the success and traction of Ethereum is super important to us since we are on the Ethereum mainnet (and also have a sidechain)
In order for iexec to succeed, ETH 2 needs a successful launch. Lower gas prices, higher tps, and most of all, the eyes of the world upon it.
When the companies (Azure, MS, IBM, Amazon) see Ethereum gaining traction, and that the infrastructure is set, they will list their services in the iexec decentralized computing assets marketplace, and the marketplace, the only of its kind in the world, will roar to life.

The only reason iexec could announce this is because Google went public with the program.
Iexec was in the program BEFORE it was able to be signed up for.
This is what they mean when they said they had been involved since alpha. They also mentioned that they were working on a project and would be presenting alongside Google in the near future.
By the time we hear what the true nature of this partnership, it will be too late. That said, this is not the tech giant. It's Microsoft and will be announced at the EEA, alongside Microsoft.
