your returns with just stocks would be y=x, while your returns with ETF's would be y=x^[1-(x(t)/x0)]

or put another way, using this graph:
your returns 'y' vs time 'x' would be blue line if you owned stocks, orange line with a etf, red line if you owned an even more leveraged etf

idk, the constants will be different for every stock, and different for any start and/or end period. and this is assuming that a stock's price behaves like a smooth function


but stock prices are not ever smooth, and they are series's, not functions

If TQQQ goes to zero then the broker that offered it dissolves the fund, you get nothing, and they lose an assload of money (and depending on how the rest of the brokerage's positions are, they may be out of business and bankrupt)?
im not sure on that, but you can probably google ETF's that have gone to 0
