It's not a meritocracy. Not even with oversight and regulation. Overseers and regulators do not provide a meritocracy, they only secure power and display authority.

Capitalism is simply a means of rewarding efficiency. If your labor is efficient enough to pay for several generations, then your children and grand children will be rewarded for your labor. Is that fair? It doesn't matter.

Under communism, fascism or whatever ism that tries to remedy this, they always end up with favoratism, cronyism, nepatism, etc. The bureaucracy in charge always leverages their power to extend their authority.

For example, the Russians loved Trotsky and hated Stalin, except the bureaucrats. And the bureaucrats were the only Russians that mattered.

They do fucked up shit, just to send a message, like the mafia does. Don't like your working conditions, want to organize a strike? Off to the Gulags with you!

Under a free market, you can form a labor union, or a coop or even a commune. Nobody is fucking stopping you.

That's not socialism tho.
Bernie isn't even a socialist.

Socialism is either worker owned means of production or state owned means of production.

Bullish. Shake outs like this take out the trash. You're not just risking your own funds, you're risking the value of your currencies to a fractional reserve.

so you'd be fine with your wallet getting black listed or frozen due to a random transaction with a convict or dissonant?

Economic problems are the opposite of good for crypto.

Would you rather sell your car or your bitcoin? Only a fuck up would sell their car if given the choice.

It would be one thing if you could spend bitcoin on rent or food, but you fucking can't spend it on anything but drugs. All you can do is sell it, when times get tough.

Inflation is the only macroeconomic problem bitcoin can solve and inflation is no worse than in 08. It doesn't build homes, grow food, turn the lights on. It's slow, impractical and expensive. And by design it literally burns more energy than it creates.

Obama injected $10,000,000,000,000 into the economy and we better have something to show for it if this is the end of the line.
