I started smoking heavy about 2 years ago when I was 26. It began casually with my girlfriend, but soon turned into a habit where I would smoke a pack a day, consistently for months.

I tried to quit a few times and would go a few months without it. I am now on my second month no cigs.

Let me tell you this anons. The desire to want a cig never goes away. But if you can rationalize and give yourself a real reason not to smoke, you can probably quit, so long as you NEVER even have one puff of a stinky cig.

My reasoning is I want to get back into bodybuilding and have a good build like I did in my early 20s. I know cigs won't help, and also, it's pretty bad ass of me to tell people I was addicted to cigs for 2 years then quit cold turkey and never looked back. Gives you a sense of power to know you're in control and not some bitch to big tobacco
