> I was stunned when I was visiting a birthday party in Holland, and one of the neighbour's kids was also there, not because she was invited, but because she regularly just hopped by to play with their kids. She was sent away when the birthday cake was served because she was not invited... WTF. I really felt bad for her. Another thing: my sister married a Dutch guy, and the wedding was in Flanders, Belgium(we are Flemish). All the Dutch guest were surprised that there was an abundance of food and free drinks all night for all the guests. They all went to eat some fastfood before the evening party because nobody expected that. Seems like in Holland, wedding parties are without food, and the party doesn't last untill the next morning... I also visited a friend's wedding in Zeist(NL), there were free drinks for the guests, but no food. Also the curfew of the party was at 2AM. Luckily, I was there with my motorhome, and had some booze in that fridge. So we could stay and party on that night. But I also went to visit people in Holland who offered a cookie to have with the coffee. After 1 cookie, the cookie box was closed and placed back into the closet.
