It's not strictly flipping but the past year I've made a couple grand buying B-stock and damaged banjos on ebay and selling them on Craigslist and musician forums. It's a good side hustle and prepares me for opening my own music shop some day (my version of making it).

Isn't "German Silver" just another name for nickel? My banjo was advertised as being "German silver plated" and it's a standard nickel plate. Jesus people are dumb, they deserve to be scammed.
