Server admin is quite literally a meme of a job that I stumbled my way into. Once the servers are set up, everything is fucking automated. Work in the "financial sector" for 150k base and a comfy bonus that usually averages 20-40k based on the bottom line.

I work at a grocery store and they tried to make me eat a lot of food and I didn’t realize I was nearly getting myself fired when I didn’t eat any of the samples, which we are supposed to know so we can recommend them to customers

Unironically, I would blame Zuckerberg. I still remember when Silicon Valley mostly had cubicles, but then all these "Agile"-types started to tout open office workspace. So corporate got wind of this and decided to cram everybody into as little space as possible to save on OpEx. It's truly insufferable.
