There are several reasons why a Chainlink pump may occur and and therefore an alert triggered. These include, but are not limited to:

People shorting/selling the bottom on leverage

He tends not to respond to 4chan PMs. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of un-pump appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

Nulinkers who don't know Chainlink history should read this... 4chan were fudding it hard 4 years ago. They encouraged Bulgarian internet cafe dwellers to short it (will bring you out of poverty etc) and the price will dump 10x.

The Bulgarians shorted, the price dumped, and then they saw a massive pump occurring on Binance. They asked 4chan for advice. A 4chan poster told them that if they all wrote more fud the dump would stop. They created a report of fud and it kept pumping. This caused a lot of animosity between the two groups.
The Bulgarian holders got pissed at the 4chan guys. Lots of racist remarks followed. The Bulgarians vowed to get revenge by using the same playbook. This might explain the recent fudding.

Look. It should be obvious right now that Chainlink(Ticker: LINK) wont be seeing major gains this run. A 2x at most. Chainlink Labs is experiencing a lot of growing pains, and most of its bullish news and infrastructure was released and announced in the bear market. In other words, wasted hype.
I’d avoid this coin in the mid to short term(this bull cycle).

I am a whale by biz standards now, although it doesn’t feel like it. I have 58k LINK. If i had not have bought YEARS ago, i’d not even consider touching Link.

the OCR announcement has me extremely worried. The LINK team has done a huge U-turn on the token economics since their unveil at smartcon last year where Ari went in depth on the node incentives. According to the devs themselves, OCR introduces 10x the efficiency when it comes to gas fees, which means 10x less of the amount of needed Eth, and 10x the amount of data a single Link can process. If you multiply 10*10, you get x100 less need of the Chainlink token, which was already not necessary to begin with. This of course means 100x less value, which would, in it's current state, place the price of a single Link token at $0.25. I'm really worried, should I consider selling?
