Venezuela doesn't have a socialist economy, 70% of their GDP comes from the private sector. The government does have a socialist ideology but their polices are social democratic, a tolerance for capitalism. Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Uruguay, and Bolivia also have socialist governments but their economies are doing more or less the same as Latin america as a whole. The reason you meme about Venezuela is because it's the country with the largest reservoir of oil so naturally it's the target of imperialism; in this case economic imperialism.
