Can someone explain inverse ETFs like SQQQ to me? What is the mechanism that causes them to skyrocket during a crash or major correction? Is it literally just monopoly money set to do the opposite of what stocks do? How does that have any actual value? Or is it in things that do good when others do bad? And who would even buy it at hundreds of dollars during a crash? Am I potato?
