There is a reason why the price target on that thing is 300 dollars.
Tesla is now worth more than VW and Toyota COMBINED.
Any rational thinking beyond memes makes it very clear that this company is extremely overvalued with a pb ratio 30 and a pe ratio of 900.

This company has a miniscule market share and there is no rational argument why it should be more valuable than even Daimler.
The only coherent reasoning is that fonds will have to buy it once it enters SPY. The second is the innovative software tech, with other companies ten times the size of Tesla already developing their own versions. But beyond that its backed by nothing but hot air.

Its like Spirit Airlines becoming more valuable than American Airlines and Lufthansa combined, based on a hype around "hydrogen planes".

Anyways. You set a certain price for when to market buy, right? So it executed, but at that point market price was already back to 16.4.

A limit buy means you will pay that price for the security. At most.
If you enter the limit 16 and the price is 15 it will buy for 15. If its 17 it wont buy.
Its the maximum price youre willing to pay.

Generally you should get familiar with the order types. The only ones you really 99% of the time are just market buys and limit sells, but a good SL can save lives.
