Russia faces many problems, mostly stemming from hilarious levels of corruption to the point that Putin has to go on state sponsored TV to complain that only one in ten of his executive decrees are implemented. They are an ailing power with access to nuclear weapons and many historical grievances on par with Germany post WW1 due to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. They are currently in the process of trying to undo all the diplomatic but have ultimately pushed the Ukrainians into the arms of the west by ripping out the pro Russian voting populations of the Crimea and the Donbass, and have wasted absurd sums of money in Syria for objectively no tangible benefit seeing as that country is now ruined. I wish them the best, but that country has some very serious rot that needs to be excised.
